I have been practising and making something almost right, following some course notes I got hold of. Coincidentally, I am in the same boat: I only have 8 days before I am out of the country.

Managed to get the lathe cutting relatively smooth finally after shaping the gravers better.

Good to read about your experience.

Actually I would be interested to buy 100% pure British made wristwatch no matter what it takes

I dont want compromises.

100% pure British made

100% all the way serious

0% imperfections with 0% flaws

100% pure British horologist and rare( actively functioning company)

Wait times are larger. I can wait and I command you to take more time to produce more intricate details

I really support British and German Watchmakers and horology unlike Swiss ones

What a fantastic article about one of the most iconic aircraft ever made.
We at IPMS Netherlands want to use this fantastic aircraft as a theme during our ESM in November. We’re creating a theme table and a separate section for Spitfire models in the competition.
In preparation for this, I’d like to use (part of) your article for publication in our magazine.
Of course, we’d like to ask your permission to use your article.

Hope to hear from you
Best Regards

Thank you for this admirable project. I love your creativity and the classy and tasteful execution of it. Britain should be proud of your efforts to get British watchmaking back on the map. And what did the Swiss do for us in the war…?
Even if “the Few” is not available anymore, I would love to acquire the brochure for my documentation.

Two mechanichs from the Battle of Britain Museum restored I-SPIT for him to fly it beginning of the ‘80s with the help of British Spitfire Pilot Paul Day.
I believe I-SPIT is now flying in the USA.

Comment on How to Clean a Watch Battery Leak by Selvia Chapman /how-to-spot-and-deal-with-watch-battery-leaks/#comment-183152 Tue, 20 Jan 2026 06:52:01 +0000 /?p=1150#comment-183152 I gave my Dad a Timex Expedition for his anniversary quite a few years ago. He loved it because the watchface numbers glowed in the dark eventually it stopped running. When he passed away this past May2025. It was given back to me as part of my inheritance. I noticed it had something green on the band does this mean that the batteries leaked? If so if cleaned up could it run again with a new battery?I found the same watch new on eBay would it be possible to use the new parts to repair the old one. I just want it to run again it’s very special to me.
