What a fantastic article about one of the most iconic aircraft ever made.
We at IPMS Netherlands want to use this fantastic aircraft as a theme during our ESM in November. We’re creating a theme table and a separate section for Spitfire models in the competition.
In preparation for this, I’d like to use (part of) your article for publication in our magazine.
Of course, we’d like to ask your permission to use your article.

Hope to hear from you
Best Regards

Two mechanichs from the Battle of Britain Museum restored I-SPIT for him to fly it beginning of the ‘80s with the help of British Spitfire Pilot Paul Day.
I believe I-SPIT is now flying in the USA.

My uncle, Douglas Mackenzie was a spitfire pilot during the war and was stationed in Malta. If you come upon any info regarding this I’d love to hear about it.
Best wishes,
